Sítio da Pedra is a farm in southern part of Brazil’s rugged Minas Gerais region. Located in the southeaster portion of the country, the farm is situated on the mountainside of the Mantiqueira de Minas mountain range. The farm tops out at around 1200 meters above sea level.

Luciano José Braga and his sons have managed the farms for several decades and represent the 2nd and 3rd generations to work the land. The farm is planted in a few different varietals. This lot is a natural processed Yellow Bourbon separation. The climate at Sítio da Pedra is ideal for processing naturals. In the natural (or, “dry”) processing method, after the coffee has been harvested and sorted, the full coffee fruit is laid out to dry. Throughout this stage of processing the coffee is turned regularly to promote even drying. This method leads to a bodied and bittersweet cup.
